Methodist Cross The Methodist City Centre Network

The Methodist City Centre Network (previously the Methodist City Centre Group) was set up to link Methodists sharing ministry in city and large town centres. It acts as a 'host organisation' for similar networks and groups in other denominations. (More...)

The aims of the MCCN are

  • the advocacy of the role of city centre ministry
  • the training and mutual support of those engaged in city centre ministry
  • the discernment and encouragement of good practice in city centre ministry

The network is open to churches and projects working in city centres and in the centres of large towns.

The word city when used on this site or in any of our publications should be taken to mean city or large town.

MCCN Conference 2010

The 2010 Conference Mission Matters will take place at The Hayes in Swanwick, Derbyshire 17-19th November 2010.
Booking forms are now available
[Discounts are offered for early bookings.]

Speakers will include:

  • The Revd Pete Phillips who is the Secretary of the Methodist Church's Faith and Order Committee and Director of Research for Centre for Biblical Literacy at St John's College, Durham.
  • The Revd Pete Hancock who is chair of the Northampton District. He led a Fresh Expression called The Bridge for a number of years. Was part of RUN (Reaching the Unchurched Network) and has experience of Town Centre Missions and Chaplaincy.
  • Deacon Eunice Attwood who will be the Vice President of Conference. Eunice has a great deal of experience as a Deacon working in a City centre context.
